Braque du Bourbonnais

Training day on quails in Wallers the 13th of August 2006

Version Française

We organized this Sunday 13th of august a little "Bourbonnais day" in Wallers, in the north of France. It was not obvious to organize because many Bourbonnais owners didn't want to come, the person who was supposed to lend us a 14 ha field having changed his mind.... Well, we organized it on a 2 ha field lent by Mr. Gosse (owner of German pointers, cockers and spaniels...), we provided the quails instead of the promised partridges, and the few people present gathered under a grey sky (but miraculously without rain for most of the day)... Were present Mr Uckman, Mr Gernez, Mr Delamare, Mr. Forget, myself and our families, and a few friends, owners of cockers and springers...

We led two times our dogs on the quails, it was nice to see the young improving the little experience the had before a first hunting season, so awaited by their masters, and the older posing for the pleasure of our eyes...

A common lunch prepared by everybody also helped to gather the persons present who at the end were happy to participate to this day and are waiting for the next one...

In any case thank you to all for your participation, your help in organizing the lunch, and most of all your good mood!!! Thank you too to the "foreigners" to the breed who contributed to this day...

A future day of the same kind will be soon organized with we hope more means but as much friendliness and good mood....
